Carpet Knee Knocker

A carpet knee knocker is a short, adjustable bar with sharp teeth at one end and a padded “bumper” at the other. The teeth dig slightly into the carpet backing, and when the installer strikes the padded end with their knee, the tool pushes and tensions the carpet toward the wall or step, helping lock it onto the tack strip for a tight, wrinkle‑free fit.
